‘Just retire’: Bennett’s brutal reality check for whinging players – Fox Sports
Wayne Bennett is the most experienced coach in the NRL and the 70-year old’s advice for players who may complain about strict COVID-19 protocols was simple – put up with it or retire.
It comes after an announcement earlier this week that all clubs outside of Queensland must go back to original biosecurity protocols which restrict players from going to cafes, restaurants and pubs.
ARLC Chairman Peter Vlandys, as he has throughout the year, was swift to take action and Bennett says anyone whinging about the changes are better off doing something else.
