Joint operation digs deep to uncover 448 kilograms of MDMA
Operation Centinel North Hart commenced in March 2020 following a detection by the Australian Border Force of a suspect shipment of an excavator
Australian Federal Police Forensics officers examined the excavator and removed 226 plastic bags of MDMA hidden within the arm of the excavator, with an estimated street value of $26.8 million.
The ensuing investigations and search warrants in the UK and Australia have resulted in multiple arrests, including two Sydney men for their part in the attempted importation.
