To mark the start of Domestic and Family Violence Prevention Month this May, Sunshine Coast Police are joining the Sunshine Coast Council and Centacare in a ‘Let’s Grow Together’ march.
The focus is to increase awareness of domestic and family violence and the pathways to available support those affected.
Police invite all residents to attend the march which is on Wednesday, May 5, at 5pm.
Marchers will meet at Cliff Butt Promenade, Cornmeal Parade and march to Cotton Tree Park, The Esplanade, Maroochydore.
Following the march there will a candle light vigil to remember those who have lost their lives as a result of domestic violence.
Let’s all come together and grow our commitment to end domestic violence.
