One of the NT’s leading jockeys has been charged with a serious betting offence
Leading top end jockey Terry Treichel could face a lengthy suspension after being charged with a serious betting-related offence.
Treichel was charged with a breach of AR115 on Friday and stood down from riding at Darwin on Saturday and Alice Springs on Sunday.
AR115 refers a jockey placing a bet, or having an interest in a bet, on any race in which he or she is riding and, if a jockey is found guilty, the charge carries a minimum two year suspension.
