The JobSeeker payment will be reduced at the end of the month before being removed entirely at the end of the year.
About 1.35 million Australians receiving JobSeeker payments will face tough new requirements from the end of the month.
Job seekers will be required to actively look for up to eight jobs a month, or four jobs for part-time workers, and accept any offers of suitable work, 7NEWS understands.
