Job vacancies collapse, job losses at record levels in key industries – Sydney Morning Herald
Job vacancies have suffered their biggest collapse in history, easily eclipsing the previous record drop, recorded during the 90s recession.
The bureau’s head of labour statistics, Bjorn Jarvis, said three industries had suffered the biggest falls in vacancies during the period, which coincided with coronavirus pandemic lockdowns.
