Jaylen Dimer sentenced for killing Paramount nightclub manager Giuseppe Raco

A 26-year-old Perth man who killed a complete stranger with a single “coward’s punch” has been sentenced to seven years and six months’ jail for what a judge described as ” a terrible example of alcohol-fuelled violence”.
Key points:
- Giuseppe Raco was punched from behind in Northbridge
- He collapsed soon after and never regained consciousness
- Jaylen Dimer had been drinking heavily before the attack
Early on July 5, last year, 40-year-old Giuseppe Raco was getting a kebab while on a break from his job as a manager of a Northbridge nightclub, when he was punched to the back of the head by Jaylen Denny Dimer.
Dimer had been drinking all day and hit Mr Raco from behind.
Mr Raco showed no outward signs of injury, but stumbled about 20 metres…
