Jarryd Hayne has reportedly copped a barrage of apples after inmates at his Sydney jail recognised the disgraced former NRL star in his first week in jail.
Sentenced to five years and nine months in jail for sexually assaulting a woman in 2018, Hayne is currently in Parklea prison waiting to be placed in a permanent location.
The 33-year-old, who must serve at least three years and eight months, has already lodged a notice of intention to appeal in the NSW Supreme Court.
