Former NRL star Jarryd Hayne has married Amellia Bonnici one month after announcing their engagement on Christmas Day.
Hayne and Bonnici, who has stood by her partner during his heavily publicised sexual assault trial, held the wedding on Australia Day, five years to the day since they first met.
Hayne shared a photo from the wedding after the unfortunate shock of having their own announcement trumped by a media outlet.
