The settlement comes as APRA opens a new probe into AustralianSuper’s move to hand over the customer data of its 2 million members to The New Daily website.
The revelations of the payment made to Senator Hume comes as the Australian Prudential Regulation Authority opens a new inquiry into a move by the nations largest superannuation fund, the $200 billion AustralianSuper, to sign up its members on an opt-out basis to The New Daily.
