Health officials in a nation hard-hit by coronavirus say they are in a race with Covid and it ‘just got a bit faster’.
The first person in the US known to be infected with a new and apparently more contagious variant of the coronavirus has been identified as a Colorado National Guardsman who had been sent to help out at a nursing home struggling with an outbreak.
It comes as health officials say they are in a race with the virus and it just got a bit faster.
Doctors believe a second Guard member may have contracted the new variant too.
