‘It beggars belief’: Coronavirus outbreak in regional Victoria sparks alarm after Chadstone link is revealed – SBS News
A coronavirus outbreak in Shepparton is connected to the Chadstone and Kilmore clusters, while Victoria’s five deaths took the Australian toll past 900.
The man who spread the Chadstone coronavirus outbreak to a second regional Victoria town has been referred to police.
A testing blitz was under way in Shepparton, north of Melbourne, on Wednesday after three positive cases were confirmed on Tuesday night.
The outbreak is directly linked to the Chadstone and Kilmore outbreaks. It emerged on Wednesday that the same man who was infected at suburban Chadstone and then went to regional Kilmore on 30 September also travelled to Shepparton that day.
