Ipswich Road could reduce to 40km/h through Annerley Junction

Transport Minister Mark Bailey in July said the council would reduce the speed limit to 50km/h after his department conducted another review.
The council disputed that, saying the department had recommended another pedestrian review before making a final decision.
In 2018, the council also rejected a petition for a school zone of 40km/h be installed on Ipswich Road outside Junction Park State School, saying there was no need.
Cr Johnston said she was surprised the LNP supported her urgency motion and allowed debate on the issue, saying it was the first time she had been supported in a motion by the administration since she left the party in 2010 and became an independent councillor.
