Investors seek values in the age of coronavirus – The Australian Financial Review
Sustainable investment funds are being launched thick and fast amid the pandemic. But will demand keep pace with supply?
Certainly, professional fund managers are showing few signs of diminished enthusiasm.
A survey of 328 big institutional investors in June by consulting firm bfinance found 82 per cent felt ESG considerations were either “very important” or “moderately important” to investment strategy and implementation.
Of the 34 Australian survey respondents, 22 per cent said ESG issues would become “more important” as a result of the pandemic, while none responded they would become “less important”.
