Investigations are underway following the discovery of a woman’s body in Southport this morning.
A member of the public made the grim find under the Sundale Bridge in the Broadwater Parklands around 10.30am and alerted authorities.
A Queensland Police spokesperson told myGC the body is believed to be that of an elderly woman, however officers are still working to identify her.
The death is not believed to be suspicious.
