Internet service providers urged to deliver ‘clean pipes’ to customers – Sydney Morning Herald
An Australian Strategic Policy Institute report says ISPs should share information and automatically blacklist dangerous websites as Australia battles an escalation of cyber attacks.
An expert panel advising the government on its new four-year cyber security strategy on Tuesday also recommended other telcos create “cleaner pipes”.
The onus to provide these protections has traditionally been on web browsers such as Google and companies in the software, hardware and operating systems space.
