Two of Australias biggest internet providers have been fined millions of dollars after making misleading claims about their NBN broadband speeds.
The Federal Court on Wednesday ordered Dodo and iPrimus Telecommunications to pay $1.5 million and $1 million respectively following an Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) investigation.
Both companies are subsidiaries of the Vocus Group, Australias fourth-largest telecommunications operator with more than 436,000 retail broadband customers.
