Emilee Hembrow has shared a heartbreaking photograph of her cradling her stillborn son for the first and last time.
The Australian influencer, who lost her son 30 weeks into her pregnancy last month, shared a gut-wrenching image of her holding Jamal Reign Ada while sitting on her hospital bed.
She revealed she had initially refused to hold Jamal, thinking it would be too difficult while she struggled to comprehend the loss.
Looking at this photo is really surreal to me. The pain comes & goes, I keep reminding myself this verse The greater the hardship, the greater the reward, remain patient and know that God test only those whom he loves, she wrote.
I remember the doctor asking me if I wanted to hold him on my chest once I had delivered him. Initially I said no, I couldnt comprehend the whole situation. I was physically and emotionally numb.

I didnt think I was strong enough to hold him, see him, touch him and then have to let go of my baby and give him back, she wrote.
But Hembrow, wrote how the nurse herself had suffered a stillbirth and encouraged her to cradle her child for the last time.
I had a nurse in the room with me and she told me that she had gone through the exact thing I was going through, Hembrow wrote.
She said if I didnt hold him and embrace my baby it would be the biggest regret I would have, all I can say is wow she was right. Holding baby Jamal, admiring his face, feeling his skin was the most precious moments that I will cherish for the rest of my life.
