Combined coronavirus cases from top four provinces in Java make up 57 percent of the national tally.
Jakarta. Indonesia has added 100,417 confirmed cases of coronavirus since the beginning of the month, with Jakarta taking a lion’s share of 30 percent by averaging more than 1,000 cases per day.
The last four weeks have become the toughest period in the Indonesian coronavirus outbreak, as provinces on Sumatra Island began to experience a drastic surge in cases while worst-hit provinces on the densely-populated island of Java remain unable to contain the transmissions.
