Iluka forges ahead with rare earths plans – The Australian Financial Review

The mineral sands miner is set to begin producing ready-for-processing rare earths material and has raised the prospect of building its own plant in Australia.

“That 90 per cent monazite concentrate is a direct feedstock for a rare earths cracking and leaching plant and so it could be supplied to a range of customers, a range of cracking and leaching operators largely in China,” he said.
