Jon Jones confirmed his interest in moving up to heavyweight and challenging champion Stipe Miocic.
Jones old rival Cormier, 41, was beaten in the UFC 252 headliner against Miocic, 37.
Afterwards DC announced his retirement, but immediately another heavyweight contender emerged on the scene.
