(MENAFN) A leading cardiologist has warned that one in five Chinese people suffers high blood pressure, or hypertension which causes deaths more than any other disease does.
Hu Shengshou, head of China’s National Center for Cardiovascular Diseases said in a statement that approximately 300 million Chinese live with high blood pressure, with annual medical bills reaching 31.89 billion yuan (some 4.88 billion U.S. dollars).
