Hughes picks loyalty over money but Storm lose skipper to injury – Sydney Morning Herald
Melbourne Storm star Jahrome Hughes will remain with the reigning NRL premiers after turning down a lucrative offer from NZ Warriors.

Melbourne Storm have unexpectedly retained premiership half-back Jahrome Hughes on a three-year deal but have lost co-captain Dale Finucane for the first six games of the season due to a torn calf.
Hughes, the 26-year old New Zealand national, joined the Storm from the Queensland Cup for the 2017 season as a reserve full-back, but has developed into one of the games most dangerous half-backs since being thrown into the role in 2019.
