Huge boost for Cats as superstar declares he’s ‘pain-free’ after groin concern

Geelong star Patrick Dangerfield has eased concerns over a persistent groin injury which has hindered the 30-year-old across the off-season.
Dangerfield is a month behind heading into Geelongs opening game with Adelaide on March 21, but expects to play a role in the clubs pre-season hit-out against the Magpies next week.
The Cats had been forced to manage Dangerfield across the summer, putting him on a modified plan and working closely with former Adelaide Crows medical boss Steve Saunders.
