How will a balance transfer affect your credit score? – Sydney Morning Herald
Don’t shop around too much for credit. Determine the best product first and then apply for just one.
Hi Nicole, thanks for your article on how to work the credit card system to your advantage. The one point you havent addressed and Id love your opinion on is the damage you do to your credit score by applying for additional credit cards? Ive cancelled three credit cards and paid off a car loan in the past 12 months and my Equifax credit score moved only about five points. While it is still considered good, Id prefer if it was excellent. Im also unsure how long enquiries sit on your credit score….
