Dozens of hospital hubs are preparing for the start of the biggest immunisation programme in history with the start of the rollout of the Covid-19 vaccine.
Health Secretary Matt Hancock said efforts are being made to ensure care home residents receive the coronavirus vaccine as soon as possible.
People aged 80 and over, as well as care home workers, will be first to receive the jab typically delivered by an injection in the shoulder along with NHS workers who are at higher risk.
