Detectives are investigating after a man died from an alleged assault in Caboolture last night.
Preliminary information indicates two men were involved in a physical altercation at an Aerodrome Road hotel around 10pm.
During the altercation, a 29-year-old man allegedly punched the 49-year-old man in the face,
causing him to fall backwards and hit his head on the concreate.
Emergency services commenced CPR however the 49-year-old Murrumba Downs man was declared deceased at the scene at 11pm.
The 29-year-old Caboolture man involved in the alleged assault was located nearby at 11.40pm on Pasturage Road and is currently assisting police with their enquires.
Investigations continue.
