‘Holy hell’: Aussie ‘giant slayer’ Popyrin saves FOUR match points in epic five-set upset – Fox Sports
Australian youngster Alexei Popyrin claimed the “number one (win) by far” of his career with a stunning five-set upset of 13th seed David Goffin.
																								
												
												
											 21-year-old Popyrin, ranked nearly 100 places below his Belgian opponent, saved four match points in the fourth set before coming back from a break down in the decider to claim his first-ever five-set win 3-6, 6-4, 6-7 (4), 7-6 (6), 6-3.
Goffin, a 2017 quarterfinalist at the event, was well on top in the matchs early stages, claiming the first set 3-6.
