Co-trainer Michael Hawkes is expecting Saturdays Group 1 Inglis Sires Produce Stakes to bring the best out of promising colt Hilal.
Hawkes, who trains with his father John and brother Wayne, is keen to see his lightly-raced son of Fastnet Rock step out over 1400m for the first time at Randwick.
Hilal has been set for the Sires after last lining up in the Group 3 Pago Pago Stakes a week before the Golden Slipper, coming from near last on the turn before finishing midfield in seventh.
