Highway gridlocked with holiday exodus under way
The Bruce Highway northbound is packed as motorists head to the Sunshine Coast and further afield.
The congestion northbound starts on the Gympie Arterial Rd at Bald Hills and stretches back to the Deagon Deviation on the Gateway motorway. Heavy congestion then continues on the Bruce Highway from Brisbane to Caboolture and then again at Beerburrum.
