Hervey Bay man warns about suspicious mark left on his front door

A Queensland father-of-two is warning others to check their front door steps after he found a “suspicious” sign he believes could put him and his family in danger.

The man from Riverheads, who asked not to be named over privacy concerns, told 7NEWS.com.au he was alerted something was wrong on Tuesday afternoon.

His wife was at home when she was approached by a man claiming to be a charity worker collecting money for sick children.
