A Yorkshire man who dived into a frozen lake to rescue a drowning dog has spoken out – and insists he is no hero.
The Featherstone man, who now lives next to the park in Pontefract, jumped into the lake with no hesitation when he saw the struggling pet – but still insists he’s no hero.
Darcy Bell, 31, a security engineer from Featherstone, jumped into a lake in Pontefract Park after noticing a pet struggling in the water.
