‘His visor was melted’

FIA medical delegate Dr Ian Roberts has spoken of the moments immediately after he came to the aid of Romain Grosjean, after the Frenchman was engulfed in a fireball at the Bahrain Grand Prix.
Grosjean’s car split in two and caught fire after he crashed on the opening lap of this morning’s race.
Roberts rides in a car driven by former racing driver Alan van der Merwe that starts at the back of the grid at each race, trailing the cars on the opening lap to ensure medical attention is at hand quickly…
