The football world has rallied around Geelong great Sam Newman after the sudden death of his wife Amanda.
Amanda, 50, suffered cardiac arrest and died on Saturday at their Melbourne apartment – where the couple were married just seven months ago after 20 years together.
Newman returned home from an evening out with friends to find his wife lying unresponsive on the floor.
Im just devastated, I cant say anything else, Newman, 75, told the Herald Sun.
