‘He would smash him’: Former F1 champ‘s brutal Hamilton vs Mad Max verdict – Fox Sports
Former F1 world champion Nelson Piquet is certain Max Verstappen “would smash” Lewis Hamilton if they were teammates.
Hamilton has claimed six of the past seven F1 drivers championships at Mercedes where he has regularly outdriven teammates Nico Rosberg and Valtteri Bottas.
The only season Hamilton lost in that period was in 2016, when Rosberg claimed the world title in a season that the Briton was plagued by car reliability issues.
Now hes being pushed by Red Bulls Verstappen, who Piquet believes is comfortably the superior driver.
