For the first time at a Super Bowl, the performance took place on a stage in the stands instead of on the field due to strict coronavirus protocols.
The Weeknd, real name Abel Tesfaye, opened his set with hit song Starboy and rolled through other fan-favourites such as Cant Feel My Face and Blinding Lights.
But some viewers were quick to poke holes in the show.
