Australian Hall of Fame trainer has two favourites for Sunday’s season-opener
The 2020/21 Hong Kong racing season starts on Sunday with Australian Hall of Fame trainer David Hayes set to ease himself back into local ranks with five runners at Sha Tin.
Four of Hayes’ five runners on Sunday are yet to win in Hong Kong, highlighting the difficulty the 57-year-old immediately faces in challenging for top honours despite claiming the trainers’ premiership twice in 1997/98 and 1998/99.
