Have we been pronouncing this famous French cheese incorrectly?

Do you know how to pronounce the famous and delicious French cheese Fromager d’Affinois? This is the question that celebrity Aussie chef Justine Schofield – whose mum is a born and bred Parisian – has asked her followers as she hilariously tests her friends on social media.
In an Instagram post, Justine’s friends attempt to pronounce the famous French cheese, and after failing on numerous attempts, a friend shouts “alright Jus, how do you pronounce it you smarty pants”.
Justine, the newly appointed ambassador for Fromager d’Affinois, replies: “Well in French we would say Fro-maj-EH dafeen-WAH.”
When asked about the post, Justine explains “When I go to France, I get teased for my Aussie twang. So, even though I laugh at my friends for incorrectly pronouncing my favorite French cheese Fromager d’Affinois and other French words, I get what I deserve when I’m laughed at by my family in France.”
“Some of my friends don’t even try to pronounce Fromager d’Affinois because they know they’ll get it wrong. They just say, ‘that creamy French cheese with the blue label, grab that on your way over’, and I know straight away the cheese they’re talking about,” says Justine.
Justine’s pronunciation tips come just in time for Bastille Day, the most famous French celebration today so that Aussies know how to speak just like the French.
Can you pronounce Fromager d’Affinois correctly? Take Justine’s challenge and show that Aussies can speak perfect French! Justine is asking her followers to share their French pronunciation of Fromager d’Affinois on Instagram, tagging her and@fromagerdaffinois_au to prove that Aussies really can speak French – and may even say it better than her!
Justine Schofield has recently been announced as the ambassador for Fromager d’Affinois, the famous French cheese renowned for its premium quality, silky-smooth texture, delicious flavors, and consistent ability to delight.
