Richmonds thrilling four-point win over GWS was played in front of just 18,798 fans at Marvel Stadium on Saturday night.
It was the Tigers lowest home crowd since 2004 and it comes after CEO Brendon Gale said playing the Giants at Marvel Stadium would “minimise crowds” and hurt the club financially.
To have the MCG one of the worlds great sporting stadiums empty this weekend just makes no sense. We should be playing at the MCG, Gale told The Herald Sun.
