The coach of Bolton Wanderers spoke to the Socceroos great before their League Two clash last week and said he was doing well.
The coach of a rival English club has described Oldham Athletics decision to sack Harry Kewell as crazy and believes the Socceroos great had been doing well.
Kewell, who was appointed to the role last August, was sacked on Sunday after a run of one win in six games had left the Latics in 16th place in Englands fourth tier.
