The Wests Tigers are hatching a bold plan to keep Harry Grant at the club for an extra season if Cameron Smith decides to play on in 2021.
Grant came to the Tigers on a historic swap deal with Paul Momirovski in a bid to further his development with more game time, before returning to Melbourne next season.
However should Smith extend his career into an amazing 20th season then Grants path to a regular starting place would be blocked and the Tigers hope to take full advantage.
