Halves circus set in motion after shock retirement, Bronco ‘goodbye’: Transfer Whispers

The mid-season NRL halves merry-go-round looks set to kick off as one shock retirement triggers three other players to switch clubs over the coming week.
Newcastle veteran Blake Green hung up the boots on Tuesday in a move that opens the door for young North Queensland halfback Jake Clifford to join the Knights immediately.
Clifford has signed with the Hunter club from 2022 but could slot straight into the team thats still missing million-dollar halfback Mitchell Pearce to a pectoral injury.
