The Giants have shocked AFL fans with a move that hasn’t been seen in the game for 22 years.
The GSW Giants have made a ruthless call to drop captain Stephen Coniglio from the team that will face the Melbourne Demons on Saturday.
Coniglio was appointed skipper in the aftermath of the Giants loss in the 2019 grand final.
The promotion came after the star midfielder turned down several suitors to sign a seven-year, roughly $7 million contract extension with the expansion club.
