The Giants’ AFLW team will temporarily move to Albury within days to escape the recent Greater Sydney COVID-19 outbreak and ensure the 2021 competition can begin…

With state borders closed to Greater Sydney residents, the Giants are currently unable to travel interstate, potentially impacting the start of their 2021 AFLW season. Their first game is scheduled to be played against the Dockers at Fremantle Oval on January 31.
But in a statement on Wednesday, the Giants confirmed plans to relocate to Albury in southern New South Wales for the start of January to prepare for the upcoming season.
