Green denies dramas with senior Cowboys and reveals ‘emotional’ farewell chats – Fox Sports
Outgoing North Queensland coach Paul Green has denied he had any dramas with senior Cowboys players or that he lost the dressing room in Townsville prior to Monday’s bombshell announcement.
Green walked away from the job on Monday and revealed he had decided last Thursday that Round 10 would be his last game coaching the team.
The club board had already indicated they would be looking for a new coach for 2021 and Green made the decision to step away mid-season to give the team clear air.
The Cowboys have been well down on form in recent weeks and its led to reports Green wasnt getting on so well with some key members of his playing group.
