Greater Brisbane praised as zero new coronavirus cases recorded overnight
Queensland has recorded zero new cases of coronavirus on day two of its three day lockdown.
Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk said there are now only 20 active cases in the state, praising Greater Brisbane locals for their efforts.
She said more than 19,000 tests were conducted in the past 24 hours.
Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk said “that’s wonderful news” and urged Queenslanders to keep up their efforts in fighting the virus.
She said 147 close contacts of the cleaner who had the UK variant of the virus while in the community have been identified, and 112 have tested negative.
