Australian of the Year Grace Tame has criticised the appointment of the new Assistant Minister for Women over her previous support for a men’s rights activist.

Prime Minister Scott Morrison appointed Queensland senator Amanda Stoker to the role in this week’s cabinet reshuffle.

The reshuffle came after weeks of news reports about the treatment of women in politics.
