Rugby league guru Phil Gould has denied claims he had an agenda to hinder Anthony Griffin’s chances of landing a job with the Dragons and revealed the debacle has likely ended a 40-year friendship.

Gould has found himself in the middle of a war thats erupted over Griffins appointment as the Dragons head coach from 2021. The pair worked together at Penrith before Griffin was controversially sacked in 2018 on the eve of the finals series.
