Google has decided to extend the use of Chrome on computers operating Windows 7 for six months longer than originally anticipated, with the kill switch set for around January 2022.
The search engine giant previously announced it would be phasing out Chrome on Windows 7 by July 15 2021, a little over 10 years since the operating system first debuted to the public.
The six-month extension has been granted to users due to the difficulties faced by a changing work environment during COVID-19.
