Google Play sees over 28 billion app downloads in Q3, outpaces App Store 3 to 1 – GSMArena.com news – GSMArena.com
A whopping 80.6 billion apps were downloaded on the Play Store since the start of the year.

Smartphone usage has grown by a quarter in the July -September period compared to the same time last year. In the same period, app downloads have seen an even larger increase with Google Play reaching 28.3 billion total downloads for the Q3 period. This is a 31% increase compared to last year and gives Google a 3 to 1 advantage in total downloads compared to Apples App Store which managed 8.2 billion total downloads.
